1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how Yohann Taieb (“we,” “us,” or “the operator”) handles information in connection with Green Screen Live Video Record, also referred to as Green Screen Live (the “App”).
The App is an iOS application for recording video with a chroma-key (green screen) effect. You can replace or composite a background while recording, using the camera, microphone, and photos or videos you choose from your library.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to the App and to related features we operate for it, including optional accounts and a social feed, in-app purchases and subscriptions, advertising, push notifications, and any analytics that are actually turned on.
It does not apply to third-party websites or services that we do not control, including Apple, Google, OneSignal, and GitHub, when you use those services under their own terms.
3. Information we collect
We collect what is needed to operate the features you enable. If you do not use a feature, we do not need the information that feature would require.
3.1 Camera, microphone, and photo library
Recording and chroma key need access that you grant through iOS:
- Camera — to capture video for green-screen recording.
- Microphone — to capture audio with that recording.
- Photo library — to import photos or videos you choose (for example, as a background or source clip) and to save recordings you choose to keep.
You can refuse or later revoke these permissions in iOS Settings. Features that depend on a permission will not work without it.
Recordings are processed on your device for the chroma-key effect. We do not receive your camera or microphone stream merely because the App is installed. Content leaves your device when you choose to save, export, share, or post it, or when a feature you turn on requires that transfer (for example, posting to the feed).
3.2 Optional accounts and feed
You can record without creating an account. If you choose to sign in, the App may offer optional social accounts and a feed. Those features may be provided with Firebase-style account and data services (sign-in and storage for the feed).
If you use them, we may collect:
- Account identifiers and sign-in details the account service provides (for example, an email address, a display name, or a social sign-in identifier).
- Profile information you choose to provide.
- Posts, videos, comments, or other content you submit to the feed, and related metadata such as the time of a post.
Feed content you publish can be visible to other people who use the feed. Do not post personal information you want to keep private.
3.3 In-app purchases and subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple receives your payment details under Apple’s own privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment card number.
We may receive purchase status from Apple or from the App’s purchase system, such as a product identifier, whether a purchase or subscription is active, and a transaction or account token, so the App can unlock the feature you bought.
3.4 Advertising
The App includes Google Mobile Ads. When ads are shown, Google and its advertising partners may receive or access information such as:
- Device and advertising identifiers (for example, Apple’s Identifier for Advertisers, if you have allowed tracking).
- IP address, coarse location derived from it, device type, language, and similar technical data.
- Ad interactions, such as whether an ad was shown or tapped.
That processing is described in Google’s policies. On iOS you can limit ad tracking in Settings (including App Tracking Transparency and Limit Ad Tracking / personalized ads controls Apple provides). We do not sell your personal data.
3.5 Push notifications
The App uses OneSignal to send push notifications. If you allow notifications, OneSignal and Apple’s push service may process:
- A device push token.
- A OneSignal or similar device or user identifier.
- Notification delivery and interaction data (for example, that a notification was delivered).
- Language, time zone, or similar technical details OneSignal uses to deliver messages.
You can decline the notification permission or turn notifications off in iOS Settings. If you do, we do not use push to reach that device.
3.6 Analytics
Analytics tooling may be configured in the App. Collection can be turned off. When collection is off, we do not rely on that tooling to gather usage data.
When a feature you enable needs operational data, we collect what is needed to run that feature — for example, account and feed data if you use the feed, purchase state if you buy something, or notification tokens if you allow push. We do not use analytics as a reason to collect information about features you have not enabled.
3.7 Technical data
When the App contacts a service that supports a feature you use (accounts, feed, ads, notifications, or purchases), that service may receive basic request data such as an IP address, user-agent, app version, and timestamp. We use this to operate, secure, and diagnose those features.
3.8 Contact and support
If you contact us, we receive the information you include in that message (for example, a GitHub username and the text of an issue). GitHub processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
4. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide chroma-key video recording, import, and saving.
- Operate optional accounts and the feed when you use them.
- Process and restore in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Show ads through Google Mobile Ads.
- Send push notifications you have allowed, through OneSignal.
- Operate, maintain, secure, and debug features that are enabled.
- Respond to questions, issues, and requests.
- Comply with law where applicable.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing lists. Advertising shown in the App is served by Google Mobile Ads as described above; that is not a sale of personal data by us.
5. How we share information
We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers for features you use. Optional accounts and the feed may be stored with a Firebase-style backend. Ads are served by Google. Push notifications are delivered with OneSignal and Apple Push Notification service. Purchases are processed by Apple. Each provider processes data under its own terms and only as needed for that feature.
- Other users. Content and profile details you post to the feed may be visible to other users of that feature.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information if required by law, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect users, the App, or others.
- Business transfer. If operation of the App is transferred, information may move with it, still subject to this policy or a successor notice.
6. Retention
Camera, microphone, and photo-library content stays on your device until you delete it, except for copies you choose to export, share, or post. Feed and account data are kept while your account is active and as needed to display the feed.
Purchase records may be kept as long as needed to honor a purchase or subscription and to meet accounting or legal duties. Push tokens are kept while notifications are enabled and are no longer used for delivery after you disable them or uninstall the App, subject to the provider’s own retention.
If you ask us to delete an account, we will delete or de-identify associated personal data we control, unless we must keep a limited record (for example, to resolve a dispute, prevent abuse, or comply with law). Copies you already posted may persist in other users’ caches or exports for a time we do not control.
7. Security
We take reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the features in use, including relying on the access controls of the account, notification, and purchase services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Media on your device is protected by your device passcode and iOS security.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. Recording does not require an account. If you create an account, use the feed, or make a purchase, you must be old enough to do so under the laws of your country, or you must have a parent or guardian’s consent where that is required.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) without required parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.
Do not put sensitive personal information in public usernames, feed posts, or public GitHub issues.
9. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Deny or revoke camera, microphone, and photo library access in iOS Settings.
- Use recording features without creating an account.
- Decline optional accounts, the feed, and push notifications.
- Limit ad tracking with Apple’s privacy controls.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of account information by contacting us.
- Uninstall the App to remove local data stored on your device.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights. We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly used in U.S. state privacy laws (including the “Do Not Sell or Share” rights under the CCPA/CPRA). Advertising in the App is provided by Google Mobile Ads; you can use Apple’s tracking controls and Google’s ads controls to limit personalized ads.
10. International processing
The operator and the service providers named in this policy (including Apple, Google, OneSignal, and any Firebase-style account service) may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. If you use those features, your information may be processed in those locations.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you should review the revised policy. If changes are material, we will provide a more prominent notice where reasonable (for example, in the App or on this page).
