1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Bachata Dance App (the “App”), an iOS application operated by Yohann Taieb (“we,” “us,” or “the operator”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. The App
Bachata Dance App teaches bachata dance through video lessons from instructors, and offers community features: a user video feed, favorites, practice and learned-move lists, and a directory of bachata events.
Lesson and user videos are hosted and streamed by Vimeo. Camera, microphone, and photo library permissions are requested by iOS and used only for recording or selecting videos you choose to upload; they can be refused or revoked in Settings. Location (while using the App) can be used to show nearby events.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You can browse lessons without an account. To post videos, manage lists, or subscribe, you must create an account (email and password). You must be old enough to do so under the laws of your country, or have a parent or guardian’s consent where required. The App is not directed to children under 13.
If you create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your credentials confidential, and activity under your account. We may refuse, suspend, or close an account if we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated.
4. License to use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not: copy, modify, or redistribute the App except as allowed by law; circumvent security, access-control, or purchase checks; reverse-engineer the App except where applicable law allows it; scrape, overload, or disrupt the App’s online features.
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it conflicts with Apple’s required terms on a topic Apple requires, Apple’s terms control for that topic.
5. Lesson content and your videos
The lesson videos, text, and other materials we provide are owned by us or our instructors and are protected by copyright. You may watch them for your personal use through the App; you may not download, copy, or redistribute them except where the App expressly allows it.
You keep ownership of videos and content you create and upload. Posting requires that you have the rights to everything in the video (including music). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, stream, and display that content within the App’s community features. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared, reasonable backups, and content we must retain for legal reasons.
We may remove content or restrict an account if we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or the law.
6. In-app purchases and subscriptions
The App offers three auto-renewable subscription plans that unlock the premium lesson library and features. All are sold through the Apple App Store under these product identifiers:

Prices shown in the App at the time of purchase apply and may vary by location.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. We do not receive your card number.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of the selected plan.
- You can manage subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you do not have the rights to share.
- Harass, threaten, or impersonate others, including in the feed.
- Post videos of identifiable people without their permission where required.
- Interfere with the App, its servers, or other users’ access.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the App or its lessons will be error-free, that video streaming (which depends on Vimeo and your network) will be uninterrupted, or that use of the App will prevent injury. Dance involves physical activity; practice safely and within your ability.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, or profits arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use of the App after material changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
